As one of the most inert and chemically stable metals available, platinum is widely used in applications exposed to aggressive environments, sterilization processes, elevated temperatures, or prolonged operational lifetimes. Its unique combination of corrosion resistance, biocompatibility, and stable electrical performance makes platinum a preferred coating for demanding medical, sensing, aerospace, energy, and industrial applications.

Using advanced reel-to-reel electroplating technology, Luma applies highly controlled platinum coatings to ultra-fine wires ranging from 5 to 200 microns. Platinum plating enables engineers to enhance wire functionality while maintaining reliable performance in environments where conventional coating materials may not provide sufficient long-term stability.
