Copper plating is widely used to enhance the electrical functionality of wire materials while maintaining the mechanical properties of the underlying wire. Thanks to its excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, copper can improve current carrying capability, support efficient signal transmission, and facilitate heat dissipation in demanding applications.

Using advanced reel-to-reel electroplating technology, Luma applies highly controlled copper coatings to ultra-fine wires ranging from 5 to 200 microns. Copper plating can also serve as an intermediate layer within multilayer coating systems, providing an effective foundation for additional surface treatments and functional coatings.

As a result, copper-plated fine wire is used across electronics, sensors, shielding applications, technical textiles, communication systems, and other applications where electrical performance is critical.
